I finished that last poppet and she has been sent off to her new home! I'm sooo happy with the way she turned out and I didn't want to give her up. It's exciting that shes going to a little girl though. I also received from my frog swap partner(and she got her stuff awhile ago). I love everything that I got, she sent some really awesome stuff(2 totes, bracelet, earrings, bobble head tree frog, 2 frog key chains, needle book, tiny stuffie and wrist cuff). I will post what I made later.

So heres the dolly! She told me her name was Apple, the little girl who's getting her might change that though. I cut up a red handkerchief for her dress and headband(brose even gave it his approval!). I think shes perfect, definitely one of my best.

I've also been working on a bunch of really small cute stuff for another swap, and a costume for a friend of mine. and I burned my hand today, which really hurt :(

Im in shock

I cant believe it. I won the challenge on craftster. I really wasn't expecting to win. I kinda feel like I'm stealing the prize. Is that normal?
Any-who. I'm almost done with the poppet I'm working on now, I just need to give her hair and a dress. Shes for a personal swap I'm doing and shes going to be the first of my poppets to go to a kid. In return I'm getting a bunch of jewelry, I'm soooo excited about it.
So here she is all naked and hairless. The ears were requested to be longer and droopier like that. They kinda remind me of goat ears...
After I finish her I need to make a mini poppet for a swap I'm in. It will be my first mini! They are so freakin cute and tiny, I love them. They are the perfect size for faeries.

Now I need to stop procrastinating and go make hair! Woo!

Zoo

Theres a total of 12 animals upstairs right now. Its a zoo and Im loving every second of it.

• 4 Hamsters (Brynhldr, Hugin, Munin and Odin)
• 3 Gerbils
• 1 Rat (Pumpkin)
• 1 hedgy (Persephone)
• 1 Cat thats trying to starve herself
• 1 Birdy who squawks if she doesn't get enough attention
• 1 Fish (WTF is wrong with fish!? they are so weird!)

Other than that Ive been sewing a lot. I finished the dolly I got commissioned to do and finished the doll for the craftster poppet challenge. Both were really pretty but I'm mostly proud of the challenge dolly. Her outfit is super cool. I doubt I will win but its worth a shot anyways (must find out what secret prize is!). Her post is here. I'm too lazy to post a bunch of pics on here right now. Sorry.

Now I have to craft for the froggy swap and make another poppet for a personal swap I'm doing. WOOHOO! and after that I will be making a bunch of dollies to sell. I'm pretty excited about it but also nervous. If all goes well I wont be getting a job for a while and just sell a bunch of dolls and other crafts I make. Yay!

Everybody loves my boobies

After I posted my dear bike mechanic poppet on craftser I got a huge rush of compliments on her boobies. It was crazy. Now I have two requests for personal swaps and a commission! And I'm doing the froggy swap as well. I have lots of craftiness to do now!
Today I'm in Dubuque with my mom and we are going to be going to craft stores later so I can get supplies for all the boobs I need to make. I also have to get animal food. Perse and punkin are both almost out. I hate that when I buy rat food I get a decent sized bag but its only half full! ARGH!
I should probably get some toys for the rat-butt as well....

Anyways. Im at the wellness center right now and Im bored out of my mind. I dont really have anything to do but sit around for the next five hours. Blah. It will all be worth it though, because I get to go shopping. Thats what I need to concentrate on or I will go craaaazzzyyyyy!!

Bike Mechanic Poppet

Shes not completely finished but I wanted to show her off anyways. I made her in honor of my daddy. She is made to be me if I were a bike mechanic. All of her tattoos are ones that I have thought about getting and she still has a few more coming too. When I was painting them on I couldn't resist making a buzzing noise like the real tattoo thingies make. =D

Perfectly good whining wasted

So you know how I was whining about screwing up a poppet? Yeah. I didn't really screw up. I'm just a little crazy at 3 in the morning and got all stressed out about it when all I had to do was actually stuff the body and needle sculpt the boobies. I'm not sure if I will use this body for my bike mechanic poppet or not yet. We shall see. It really depends on what happens with the head. I cant wait to close the shop and go work on it!

Roar!

Last night I was up until 4am working on a poppet. She was going to be super cool with fingers and boobies and blue hair and she was going to be a bike mechanic. Since I was giving her boobies I was using a modified poppet pattern and it got really messed up. I ended up wasting a bunch of fabric and time that could have been spent working on something that would turn out.
So Im still going to make a blue haired bike mechanic poppet but she isnt going to have boobies. I might still give her hands though.

More Poppets!

I got to visit my grandparents today. It was pretty fun. I gave my grandma the clothes that I made for her dolly and then took about 50 pictures of all the different outfits. I'm not obsessed, noooo not at all...
These are just some of my favorites. I was having fun playing with the shadows.



After taking pictures I got to snuggle with this bundle of cutenessNow I need to go clean a hamster cage or something. Darn things are turd machines!

My feet are warm now

So last night I was sitting around, and my feet were cold. So I checked out craftster(yay) and found a crochet pattern for really easy slippers! I made a pair and they turned out pretty well, then I went shopping with da and got some more yarn to make another pair. They are super cute and I love them so much! mmmm warm toes...

Poppety Swappity

Here I am watching the shop for my dad. Bored out of my mind. Nothing to do but sit and look at a computer screen. So what should I do? Why update the blog of course!
This would be much more interesting if someone other than my daddy(hi da!) would read this....
So. Updates.
I got a rat! I adopted Pumpkin from the Dubuque Humane Society on the 9th. Hes a sweetheart and loves to sit on my shoulder and sleep in my hoody all day long. Getting Pumpkin means I now have 8 pets. Wow. Thats a lot.
I finally got a space heater for my room! Now my room is always above 75*F which is AWESOME. Persephone seems to be loving it the most. She has been way more active at night since I got it.
I'm almost done with the poppet swap, the send out date is tomorrow! I'm so excited to get a package in the mail thats full of doll clothes from a total stranger.
I called my drivers ed instructor today. I'm soooo close to getting my permit and its about time too! I'm going to have a car before I actually get my drivers license...
I'm done writing now...

Apparently I only get crafty inspirations between the hours of 10pm and 4am. The rest of the day I'm completely brain dead. Its pretty darn ridiculous. I've made some pretty cute stuff though!
I was able to make a pirate outfit for the poppet thats going to my swap partner. I also made a fabulous mess of my room. I have fabric scraps EVERYWHERE! Its insane.

Introducing my babies part 2

More babies! This is my second obsession. Small animals. I just cant get enough of the cute and furry little turds. They keep me from going completely crazy.
My first baby was Persephone. Its her birthday tomorrow! Shes going to be a year old! She has the sweetest temperament in the world and loves to run around and eat meal worms.
Next we have Paris(white), Achillies(gray) and Odysseus(black). I got these guys in September with my dad. They are all super friendly and HYPER. Its always entertaining to watch them dig, chew, and run incessantly.
Brynhildr terrifies my brother. Which is very entertaining since she is the sweetest and most loving hamster ever. She has never pooped, peed or bitten anyone ever. She loves to run on her wheel constantly and almost hurts herself from running so much. I think if she were a human she would be a mad scientist...
Hugin and Munin are my teeny tiny roborovski dwarf hamsters. Sadly about a month or so after I got them they had to be separated due to fighting. Oh well. They're still really cute! And soft. And the size of a cotton ball.
And those are all the babies that I have right now. I hope to get a crested gecko sometime, and maybe some rats. Unfortunately I don't have the space for any more animals right now. Soon! Soon I shall have them all! Mwahahahahahahahaha!!

mmm sharpies

For the past two days I've been drawing gratitude spirals on my hand over and over again. It started as just a few spirals in the center of my hand, then every time I sat down the spirals would multiply. Now my whole hand is covered! Its pretty cool lookin if you ask me. Thankfully I will be getting a new batch of henna in soon. Then my spirals will last even longer!
And just cause I cant resist showing off the cuteness...

Introducing my babies

Just cause I can. I will introduce all of the poppets I have made in the order of their creation!(told you it was an obsession) First off is Blue. She is my water elemental poppet(air and fire haven't been created yet).
Next is autumn in her earth elemental garb. She has leaves in her hair.
Now we have Pink. I made pink for my friends birthday/christmas gift.

This dolly my Grandma asked me to make for a friend of hers. She has a bell!
And this is the doll I made for my Grandma for Christmas. Im happy to say my Grandma loved her.

wow. I finally did it. I got a blog. I feel so normal right now.
So since I have no idea what to write about I'm going to share my most recent obsession. This is my Poppet Autumn. She is the second dolly I have made and she is an earth elemental. She is wearing a dress that i made for my Grandmas doll. Isnt she cute?
So far I have made seven Poppets and clothes for all of them.
